Our Community

Center Overview

Built on the lakefront in Red Lake, the Redby Community center is a gathering place for everyone in the community. -- A space where relatives come together for sport, celebration, and connection. Whether you are shooting hoops, lifting weights, or sharing a meal the center is free to use and open to everyone in the commmunity.

More than a building the Community Center is a cornerstone in the life of Redby -- a place built by and for the community, feel free to stop by and see for yourself!

The Space

Amenities

The center offers a mix of fitness, gathering, kitchen, and outdoor spaces that support both daily use and larger community events.

Weight Room

Full weight room open during the day and in the evening when the center is not booked for events.

Basketball Court

Full basketball court available for recreation, activities, and indoor community use.

Outdoor Space

Playground with a pavilion and outside grilling units. The outside pavilion is free to use and does not need to be booked.

Kitchen

Full kitchen with some utensils and cookware available, though you may still need to bring your own depending on the event.

Gym & Weight Room

The weight room at Redby Community Center is open to everyone in the community at no cost. Whether you are just getting started or have been training for years, the space is here for you.

The gym is available during regular center hours and stays open into the evening on days when the main hall is not booked for events.

Booking, Policy, and FAQ

  • Call the center booking numbers first. If no one is available, please contact Redby Community Representatives. When booking wakes or funerals, let the booking contact know whether the service is traditional or other, and whether services such as firewood are needed.

    • Using the community center is free.
    • The responsible party is expected to haul their own garbage.
    • Do not leave dirty dishes, extra food, leftover food, or garbage behind.
    • Wakes and funerals take priority over other events.
    • Firewood for wake services is provided free of cost when requested during booking.
    • Can we have a bouncy house inside the gym? Yes.
    • Do we have to book the outside pavilion? No. The outside pavilion is free for everyone to use and does not need to be booked.
    • Can we book the Snack Shack? No. The center does not control the Art Thunder Memorial Park snack shack.
    • Can we book the old center? No. A different program controls it. The available building is the new Redby Community Center.
